Beginners series, should I revive them?

Back when we first split the forums into Mid-high and Small Stakes NL , I tried to get a collective series of discussions together titled beginners series. HEre are links to the ones that we did, including the initial proposal. Anyone want to get it going again?

Big stack play

Big pocket pairs preflop

Playing in loose NL games

Preflop aggressiveness

Table selection

Proposed guidelines

Flop steals via position

These look great. I'm not ready to post intelligently to them, but I'll sure read 'em.

No you should absolutely post on them. If you have a question about some aspect of the game, make up a thread with the title Beginner's Series: (your topic) and shoot. You learn best by discussing, even if you are wrong.

When I click on one of the threads included in your OP, the fresh window my browser opens does not include a "Favorite Thread!" link down at the bottom in the "Extra Information" area. I'd like to make all of these favorites so I can get auto-emailed. Any idea how I do it?

I like it, I would personally like some more basic strategy discussion in addition to the hand histories. While I am happy classifying myself as a beginner, I wonder if that term might turn off some players who's comments would be very valuable.

You have to login to the archive server to get the favorite threads link.

I dont think so. I found that the more experience players offer valuable insight, especially for situations that may differ between SS and Mid-high stakes. Also by concentrating the discussion in appropriately named threads, we theoretically reduce some of the noise in the forum.

Thank you for the information and posting the threads. I will definitely read and offer something up (probably more questions than actual insight, haha.)

I am logged in to the 2 + 2 forums; how is logging into the archive server different?
