Paying off the flush two handed

Down to 2 in a live sng. Opp has ~2k to my 8k. I get the K3o in the BB, button calls, I raise 600 more (blinds at 100-200) and he calls. Flop comes Kxx of diamonds (I have no diamonds). I bet 1k, he pushes, I call. I shows J3 diamonds for the flush. He doubles up, but I eventually get all my money in (still have him outchipped) with an Ace + ace on flop to his straight draw which doesn't hit.

Just curious about paying off on flush boards and similar hands...

Not quite sure what you are looking for with this post, but heads up, this was prolly a good play, especially since you have a nice lead on him. You have high pair, and will still maintain your lead over him if he does have you beat. This is an easy call for me...

heads up, top pair, no kicker and flush board a pretty big hand.

id only fold if i was risking all on it, you werent.

you lose and its 6K v 4K, so your still fave to take it. you win, and well you win first.

whats important is you didnt back off on the flop, you put in the 1K, making him play for his entire stack. this is key to winning heads up, its all about pressure when your top stack.

you lost, then overall you won. i see no problems here.
