Good digital camera?

I'm thinking of buying a digital camera for around $300-$400. Any reccomendations?

The best digital camera that isn't an SLR is the Panasonic FZ20. It's $500 and worth it.

THIS. IMO its not even close. Its what I have so I am partial, but I did a lot of research, and if your not going SLR, then this this is your best bet.
