So there I am, mp with JJ, 1500 in my stack, blinds at 50. I raise to 200. A short stack behind me pushes with 500 chips. Then the BB reraises all in with 2k. I cheerfully muck my hand, like a good little boy. Cheerfully, until the two other players turn over KTo and KQo, and the flop is J 4 4. Now I need a new keyboard after banging my head on mine so many times. I wonder if that risk makes this a -$EV play after all.

bummer dude...i was wondering...does that flop mean anything? what i'm saying is, would that have been the flop if you had called? or is the RNG spinning so fast that if anybody had done anything different, faster or slower or whatever, that each card, flop, turn and river would be different?

i've long wondered about this, i've asked PP and gotten different answers each time, doesn't seem they know or are willing to tell...

in a B&M game, you can kick yourself because you spiked that 2 outer on the river but is it the same online?

I've heard conflicting reports. Some claim that the deck is shuffled and then set for the hand. Others claim that the system picks a random card from those remaining when the time comes. I tend to believe the former, just because it would save system resources, and a continually spinning RNG adds nothing to the quality of the deal. Still, it is of absolutely no significance, so I haven't spent much time researching it. [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

Bugsy's says they pick a random card each card dealt and don't "preshuffle and set" the deck. I take heart in this fact each time I would have hit a flop when I folded preflop.

That's just because they are using their patented RAG (random answer generator) support system.

A constant shuffle doesn't help the randomness, but it does make it more secure. If the cards are set in any way, they could be found out.

Couldn't help myself. I don't normally laugh outloud when I'm reading.

This is precisely how I felt when I called in, and bounced around to 4 different people who all gave me the same answer - over 13 f.ing dollars. Can you believe it, those bxxxxxx's. I've paid them $2000+ in rake over the past 60 days.
