MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- The Mike Tyson-Lennox Lewis heavyweight championship fight is sold out, with organizers saying they have generated more than $23 million in ticket revenue. With a gross gate of $23,026,042 on ticket sales of 19,185, the June 8 fight at the Pyramid will shatter the boxing record of $16,860,030 set Nov. 13, 1999, when a crowd of 17,078 watched Lewis fight Evander Holyfield at Thomas & Mack Arena in Las Vegas. |
