Do you ever bluff call on the flop heads-up with position?

Or is this simply a bad move given the depth of the stacks in STT SNG's?

Also, please discuss the subject. I'm curious as to what others do. I have a feeling this move is made on me occasionally, but I'm not sure.

Then again, I play on levels where we can get HU by L5.

Yes, often (I did vote).

Especially early in HU (assuming you can afford it!). I feel it is a relatively cheap way to put a finger on the type of player your facing. He min bets flop -- you call -- he checks/or min bets turn -- you raise...........

IMO this is an easy way to communicate that YOU will be taking control of the table. Assuming he showed weakness and gave it up on the turn/river, it's makes the transition to the aggressor much easier for me. Even if he didn't completely buckle - and perhaps more importantly, I think it tells him that you will not be passively folding to lead-out flop bets.

When I say 'heads-up' I mean a heads-up pot, not necessarily when you're down to two players.

I voted never because it is more accurate than sometimes.

My correct answer would be 'very occasionally'

I also occasionally bet to generate action between two other players when I have no intention of playing the hand.

Hmmm, not as often

I know you see it all the time coming from out of one of the blinds, after he called a PF raise from you perhaps - on a rag/missed flop. If his bet smells a little like "haha, I caught a piece, you certainly didn't!" - then I think it can work like a charm. When he follows with a 1/2pot'ish bet again on the turn, I find dropping the hammer him on quite successful. "sh&t. maybe this guy does have a monster".

But...you do need to have some chips (him covered maybe), some outs, etc. If he pumps pot or better, I'm less likely to play with it, read-dependant of course.
