I use to make this fold too but I started to see too many players betting/semi-bluffing when a scare card comes off. Sometimes you'll be shown trips but alot of the time you'll take it down. It's also very read-dependent.

You dont think that he may have bet a weak Ace on the flop and now check-raise when his kicker changed to a King ?
