2+2 in Thailand

Hey all -

Business has me in Bangkok for the next 3 months. Two quick questions:

1) Anyone have any luck getting 2+2 books in Bangkok, either B&M or via net? I'm salivating for the release of HOH2 but can't seem to figure out how to get it over here.

2) Are there any B&M casinos that play hold'em anywhere around Bangkok?

Thanks much,

Mike

Hey, my wife is Thai, and is gonna try and get an answer for you later tonight.

Also, we will be moving to Thailand within the next year.

There's nothing in the published postal regulations to forbid shipment of books to Thailand. Exactly what customs duty you might be subject to on receipt, I don't know (if I ship outside the US, I do have to attach a declaration saying it's a book and what the value is.) I doubt there is any obstacle other than paying a few dollars extra for the shipping.

No - 2+2 has always attempted to uphold the integrity of the game, and thus has a very strong policy against Bahts.

I am going to Thailand July 23rd for 5 months for school. Seems like a happening place, any other suggestions on where to go visit, nightlife, ect.

There are no casinos in Thailand.

Gambling are not just forbidden...it is one of the worst crimes after drug-dealing.

Especially card games.

You will go to jail for playing a simple cardgame with your kids in a public place.

Hello Mike,

The cardplayer.com poker room directory lists four casinos in neighboring Cambodia , each of which has a few poker tables.

When I was in Bangkok five years ago, I recall hearing that there were some casinos just across the border in Burma/Myanmar. Don't know if they're still in operation or if they have poker.
