50NL AKs - tried a check raise

I've just sat down and i've watched villain raise 6 hands straight, and continue on the flop. 5 take downs, and one fold to a raise.
I went for the check raise on the flop, and then he totally confused me...

Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">MP2 bets $2</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $6</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP2 raises to $10</font>

I flat called preflop with the intension of check raising if a an ace hit.
What is my move now any why?
All comments and thoughts welcome.

Call and check call turn and river.

I would likely fold to the 3-bet and expect to see AQ or better 85% of the time.

typically yes but given villain description, I think this is one of the few 15 percent times.

Villain raises 7 hands in a row and we put him on AQ? And anyway, at least call the raise and hope to spike a K, you are easily getting odds.

Oh, true, I forgot to read the villain's description. I like xorbie's line better.

Funny you should say that.

I don't see how you're ever getting odds to spike a 3 outer, especially when you can be expected to pay heavily on the flop onward.

What do you put him on that raises pre-flop and 3 bets this flop?
