Reading habits

When you read books, do you normally read 2 or more books simulataneously, or 1 book at time?

When you read, do you try to finish the book as fast as you can, say in a couple weeks - or do you intentionally read at a pace where you can think about what you read after each reading?

Re: Reading habits

Depends on what I'm reading, but I'm usually reading multiple books at once.

Re: Reading habits

I normally will only read one fictional book at a time, but can read more than one non-fictional book at a time. I can't get wrapped up in multiple storylines, but I can get wrapped up in multiple sets of data.

Never thought about it before now, but I guess that's a bit strange.

Ideally, one book very intensely.

In practice, pieces of many.

**the following post contains mild poker content**

When reading poker realted books I've read as many as 6 or 7 at a time. All other non-poker titles are strictly one at a time.

Re: Reading habits

I read four books at a time:

1) Non-fiction book that I read while alert.

2) Novel or light-nonfiction that I read before sleep.

3) My truck book, which I read when grabbing something to eat when on the road, usually a Clancy novel works well since they're easy to pick back up on.

4) Crapper book. Which is where I read and reread p***r books.
