Setting s-video resolution on 2001fp

I hooked up my playstation directly to the 2001fp's s-video input, and the resolution is pretty terrible. I don't understand why, considering that this thing can do 1600x1200...I haven't been able to figure out if I can change the resolution when it's using the s-video input. I'd appreciate it if anyone could help me out.

I *think* svideo is limited in resolution. AFAIK you can't even do HDTV through them. I could be wrong.

You probably want the VGA adapter for the PS2. MMmm, pretty.

I believe that S-video is max either 640x480 or 800x600. I'd imagine that your PS2 is giving you 640x480 because I think standard tvs (i.e. not HD) have 480 lines of resolution.
