$2-4 RAKE

I have a question for all the experienced.

The rake in the $2-4 Hold'em game at Foxwoods is as follows.

$1 at the flop. Another $1 at pot size $10. ( 20% tax now ) Another $1 at pot size $20. Another $1 at pot size $30. ( $4 max )

Is it just me or is this outrageous!

My question is this. Given this extremely high rake, are there any particular strategy changes one should make in his/her game to better 'beat it'?

Thanks in advance,

CJ

Re: $2-4 RAKE

This is the same rake I play with at my regular B&M cardroom. The game is beaten only be very few (Ray Zee has estimated maybe 1%). You must play tighter than normal; marginal hands must be dumped, because they are long time losers when raked. Since you are playing low limits, playing proper poker with such a rake will be boring and unimaginative. If you can handle this, enjoy the extra spending money.
