Is anyone wasting their time watching this funeral?

How unimportant a use of the airwaves and cable lines. Other than seeing it in passing, is anyone sitting down and watching?

Anyone in DC or California who waited in line to see the old geezer's casket?

Honest to God!! Can't watch soaps or Oprah or Jerry Springer or anything of value What a waste of bandwidth just to see and talk about history and tradition. Where's the FCC when you need them? Probably reviewing tapes of wardrobe malfunctions.

I watched the end of it yesterday. I found the ceremony to be very emotional. You should be ashamed of yourself for speaking of someone who just passed like that. Whether or not you liked Reagan, you should still show him respect for his service to our country, and also give your respects to his family as well.

I agree with this as well. Make fun of the living all you want, but any former President deserves respect. No one's forcing you to watch it.

Congratulations, you're a piece of [censored].

There, is that the reaction you were looking for?

The man was an American President and like him or not he deserves respect on his death. He had a wife and children and I am quite sure they don't feel as unsympathetic as you.

When Richard Nixon died a few years ago, he got maybe a day of news coverage, but barely a peep outside of that. I realize he was disgraced, but he was just as important a political figure as Reagan. He got neither a state funeral, nor a day of mourning, but also almost zippo news coverage compared to Reagan. I'm not a fan of either, but what gives?

Let the family mourn, but why impose it on the rest of us?

I ask a question about media overload and whether you are falling for it, and I get a bunch of responses about respecting the dead.

Grow up folks.

By the way, you can disrespect the dead if you have good reason. I disrespect the deceased Hitler and Stalin for example.

I was merely commenting on the difference in attention between the Nixon and Reagan deaths. I didn't comment on what I thought of the Reagan coverage.

You can't afford cable? Watch something else if you don't want to see it.

Media Overload? That started along time ago.
