WSOP players per table

Forgive me if this is too simple for this thread, but I'm trying to settle an arguement.

I got into a discussion last night about the WSOP. We were argueing about the people per table. Some said there were 10 per table, others said 9 as the 10th person is the dealer. And another said "10 per normal table, but the final table has 9."

What is it?

Re: WSOP players per table

Well if you or your friend can rewatch the 2004 WSOP, you'll hear the comentators discussing how it is normally 9 per and now it had to go to 10 per because of the field of 2500+. They split into 2 x 1200 fields with 150+alternates that had to wait for people to be knocked out to get in.
They had 120 tables going x 10 people per table this year. Probably will be the same next year at the Rio, but at least they have the room with the currently expanding Convention center.
