what are the odds of 4 card straight or flush out of 5 cards?
 
could someone please tell me what are the odds of 4 card straight or flush out of 5 cards?

The odds of seeing a four card flush board are:

=4*(13,4)*39/(52,5) = 4.29%

The odds of seeing a four card straight are:

= 9*(4*4*4*4)*28 + 2*(4*4*4*4)*32 = 80896/(52,5) = 3.11%

Note: some of the straight boards have five, four or three of the same suits, and some of the four flush boards have straights or four to a straight so you just can not add these together to see the odds of either occuring.
