Is there a consensus - 6/12, 8/16, 10/20 or 15/30

Off to Las Vegas on Sunday, second trip this year. Usually play HE at Bellagio 8/16 but also play Mirage 6/12 and I want to play the Orleans on this trip. I am comfortable at up to 15/30 and have a bankroll to play above that but don't because I have more to learn. Before this trip I thought I would check out what those who have gone before had to say about these games. What I found was that opions were all over the map, hence my post here. As far as I can tell 2 plus 2 posters are among the most knowledgeable out there. My question - which is the best game all things considered, which one usually has the best mix of fish, tourists and the minimum number of really good players? I know there are lots of variables and I take table selection seriously enough to only play 4/8 if that is where the beatable games are, and I know time of day is important. Outside of those factors, I am looking for some solid, informed opions. Thanks very much.

The 6/12,9/18 games are normaly the softest.I believe the 10/20 games have alot of grinders. In other words good solid players but maybe lacking play. You will find the better[even great] players at the 15/30 level,But there are also alot of real fish playing 15/30.The best games are at night of corse.I wish thier were always a real soft game with a seat open, but the fact of the matter is one day the game might be fantastic and the the next day[or hour]it may be horrable.Good Luck! I wouldn't worry about that. There really aren't that many "great" players out there. Also, I was in a super-soft 30-60 when there was a tougher 15-30 right behind me (Dynasty was in it - making it a tough one). And then one of the weaker players from my 30 game went to play 80.

Just pick your spots, and you'll be OK.

I will assume these Vegas trips are not your regular game or a central part of your income. If so, I would not be so game selective, and try to play at least 8-16. You will learn a lot more playing in games with a few reasonable players. Push yourself a little, so that a few trips from now, you will be asking about Bellagio 15/30 vs. Mirage 20/40. Playing even at 10-20 and learning some things is a lot beter and more profitable than winning a big bet at 6-12 doing exactly what you've always been doing.

Thanks one and all. Anyone else with words of wisdom has until Sunday night - then I put everything into practice for five days. Will try to write a trip report letting everyone know how things went. Thanks again.
