a,k early

Euro $33 sng

Am i way to tight folding here?

I was mainly worried about UTG limping with a monster as he had never done that before. I fiugred i was 50/50 at worst and the overlay was nice, but i figured the odds of not being headsup made it too risky and so i folded.

BTW this is the move i would have done from the BB

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t50 (9 handed) http://216.119.70.224/converter/hhconverter.pl

MP3 (t2230)
CO (t605)
Button (t380)
SB (t965)
Hero (t800)
UTG (t730)
UTG+1 (t605)
MP1 (t955)
MP2 (t730)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG calls t50, UTG+1 calls t50, MP1 calls t50, 1 fold, MP3 calls t50, CO goes all in t605 ,4 folds, UTG+1 folds, MP1 folds, MP3 folds, hero folds

Final Pot: t275

I think you have to overshove here. Hero's getting good odds, and CO has a range that you probably have beat, if only slightly.

Assuming every else folds there is enough dead money in the pot to justify going up against a pocket pair lower than kings and there will also be times you simply dominate him.

I like the fold.

You've not put anything in the pot yet, so keep it that way. Just pretend you had 72 or something.
There will be better spots to get your money in.

Being worried about UTG having a monster is probably a bit paranoid though.

(this HH is a bit messed up. hero folds is in the wrong place)

Quick note - at the $33s don't be scared that someone has a monster because they limped in EP. The large majority of the time they don't.
