Real early in a 10+1

I recently had to cash out most of my bankroll so I left 200 bucks left in and am starting over at 10+1's. This hand actually brought about some confusion.. and I wasn't sure what the best move preflop was. This is in a Party so blinds are 10/15.

Hero looks down and sees A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and is in the BB.

Stacks sizes not relevant, really.. third hand and not much has happened.

So I get 4 limpers, UTG, MP, CO, and Button. SB calls and I , in the BB raise to 80. I get a call from UTG, MP/CO folds, and Button now raises to 200. I think for awhile thinking he would have had to raise AA/KK/QQ here after these limpers and I push.

Thoughts?

A lot of the times people do this, they have crap, but they want to play, and they hate the fact you raised their limp, so they reraise. I overpush here (and raise a bit more preflop).

Nice hand.

There's certainly a better-than-rational (given the number of limpers) chance that he has AA-QQ. However I think that his most likely holdings by far are a small/medium pair and/or Ax/2 broadway/random garbage. I think pushing is fine.

ya this strange play seems common from donks at the low limits ( i play $11s too ). i usually see middle pairs or something like that here... usually push back over the top.

You say usually.. whats a situation in which you wouldn't do this.. given the action that unfolded.

I did say this was the third hand. Obviously this is a much different situation if you know the players or if you are deep in a tourney.

Cool, thanks for the advice.

Would the situation change at all if any of the stacks were radically different?
