Which IPOD?

I do not know if I should get a 4GB ipod (approx 1k songs) for $200 or a 20GB ipod (5k songs) for $300. I really don't think I have anywhere close to 5k songs, but I'm still open to hear wat others say.

Here's my obligatory iAudio M3 post. Get that instead. Back to the topic at hand, though, get the biggest one you can afford. You'll fill it. Also, you should be able to get a better price than $300 for a 20GB player. At least I'd hope you could. My advice is to skip past even the 20GB player and go straight to 40GB or 60GB.

Trust me, you'll find 5k songs pretty quickly once you have the ability to carry them withyou everywhere. I never thought I'd fill up my 40 when I first got it, but it's almost full 3 months later.

Agree with the above posters. Also, remember that "5K songs" = 5K 3 minute, minimum quality songs.

I love my 20GB, also, a needed accessory is the ITrip FM Modulator (Plays your IPod through the station of your choice so essentially you never need cd's in your car again, my cd player plays MP3s and I thought $150 songs was awesome, now I have 5K at my finger tips, now I have to just get the dock for the car... end ramble now)

20GB!

I own too much music to fit on any MP3 player. Important things for me were being hard-drive based, form factor, and user-interface. I went with the iPod mini and have never regretted it. It all depends on your personal preferences.

Re: Get the 20GB one if...

(1) you want a longer battery life, (2) you desire the capactiy to hold considerably more songs/audiobooks, & (3) you'd like to give others the impression that you don't putt from the rough. Otherwise, go for the 4GB in pink.
