So you smoke weed and drop rap references. Back in the day specifically 1989 you were broke, for REAL. This meant you had to rob people for money. Then, like magic, you had thick smoky steaks on the grill steaming up your kitchen/BBQ. Now instead of stealing you hit the books to upgrade your lyrical content. Thus maintaining your cash flow without having to resort to your criminal past. Nice verse.

Not a huge rap fan, but those first few lines of Deck's verse are very recognizable.
I didn't even know there was an Inspector Deck, but I recognized those lyrics right away.
