Hey CT,
Ugh. Do you have any read on the CO? Without a read of him overplaying his hands, I think you can safely fold here.

Yeah without a read you don't know, could be on any draw, 2-pair, whatever. Pot is pretty small and it would be heads up. I'd fold.

Ok, well I did fold here. I was just wondering if this was the right play as I recently read Ed Miller's post (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=462860&page=0&view=collap sed&sb=5&o=14&fpart=1#462860) and wanted to make sure this was the right thing to do.

That Ed Miller post has been constantly "miss read" by people. His advice isnt to never fold. What he says is that you have to look at the size of the pot. In your case the pot is 3 small bets.

What would really help in this situation is a read. Will he raise a flush draw here? Will he raise with an open ended straight? If he has a king he probably has you beat. In addition to that the board is very coordinated and he might be on two different 3-1 draws.

You might be ahead here, but once this gets heads up you need to take the pot down half of the time to make a profit, I dont see that happening so I fold.

Your other post with AQs is exactly what he is talking about in that post I think. This hand on the other hand is probably not. Pot is small, only 2 people left in the pot, etc. You can fold here.

Yes but did you read his 6 months later post? (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Number=801616&page=0&view=co llapsed&sb=5&o=14&vc=1) Remember he was mostly talking about folding in big pots. Here you don't have odds to call if you are behind. Against some opponents it may be a mistake to fold, but not as big as the kind Ed originally wrote about.
