playing early postition with small pocket pairs i really try to get away from them, especially to a raise after ive called. sometimes the results get pretty disasterous. like here.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t30 (9 handed)

MP3 (t605)
CO (t730)
Button (t735)
SB (t1235)
BB (t115)
UTG (t1045)
Hero (t775)
MP1 (t1340)
MP2 (t1420)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with 3/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 3/images/graemlins/club.gif.
UTG calls t30, Hero calls t30, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, MP3 folds, CO folds, Button folds, SB completes, BB raises to t115 (All-In), UTG calls t85, Hero folds, SB calls t85.

Flop: (t375) 3/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 6/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 8/images/graemlins/club.gif (3 players, 1 all-in)
SB checks, UTG bets t130, SB folds.

Turn: (t505) 7/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (2 players, 1 all-in)

River: (t505) 3/images/graemlins/spade.gif (2 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: t505
Main Pot: t375 (t375), won by UTG.
Pot 2: t130 (t130), returned to UTG.

Results in white below:
BB shows Jh Kd (one pair, threes).
UTG shows 7c 7s (full house, sevens full of threes).
Outcome: UTG wins t505.

u made the right move. one could bitch when they folded 72o because three 7s flopped.
Jake

BTW that said i may have called the raise w/ the 33 even in ep and plan to fold if i don't trip on the flop.
