Posting in a NL game

For the 5/10 and up NL games, is it better to post behind the button or to wait for the big blind? I usually post the blind, because I dont want to have my late position blind stolen from me by someone who open raises. I dont know if this is correct.

Assume 5-10 blinds. If you post, you get 7 hands for $10, but if you wait for the BB, you get 10 hands for $15. You also get to play the button. So its costing you $1.42/hand vs. $1.50/hand. The price is roughly equal. Usually if I am close to the blinds, I'll wait, and if the button is just passed, I'll post behind. I don't think there really is a correct answer.

However, I personally prefer posting behind, since I am more likely to play a blind hand here.
