View Full Version : A Hand with a Kill

Foxwoods 5/10 kill. For those unfamiliar with the structure, there is a $2 sb, a $5 bb and a $10 kill on kill hands, such as this one. The game has just started, so everyone is still playing extremely tight. However, there is one very weak and loose player. He is located UTG+3 and is the killer on this hand.

I'm in the cutoff. All fold to me, except the killer, who checks his option. Before I can act, the button is very clearly preparing to throw his cards away. I raise with QTo. Only the killer calls.

The flop is Axy, with a two-flush, x and y are both smaller than T. Check, bet, call.

The turn is a T. Check, bet, call.

The river is a rag. Check, check.

I think you have to bet the river here for value.

With Ax, he would have raised or bet out on the flop, perhaps even preflop.

The only real hands you are worried about are KT, Tx, Ty, or xy, xx, yy. All of those you would probably have heard from the turn with a bet or a check raise.

I like my chances, go collect $20.

I hope some more people will comment.

My opponent had A6o (none of the small cards that hit were 6's).
