I prefer the 3-bet the flop, fold to a cap method.

Do you mean 1) fold if SB caps and bets the turn or 2) fold the flop when SB caps?

I was ready to possibly drop on the turn, but when the scare card fell, I thought this was a good move, as his play does not look like a flush. In fact, it looks a lot like what I'd to if I were weak and trying to move someone off a hand.

Just too risky?

Good raise. I'd try this play occasionally against 1 or 2 players. Just fold to a 3-bet against an unknown and check the river through unimproved, because if he called your turn raise, he's more likely than not calling your river bet.

nice. though if most people had a legitimate hand, i dont think they would fold it in this situation. Youll probably get called down. probably better just to release it.
