the EV is obviously minimal....but i think it's kind of interesting.
in the 6-max UB SNG's...the first seated player gets the button.
1 - SB
2 - BB
3 - UTG
4 - UTG+1
5 - CO
6 - Button
if i'm 2nd at the table i'll take the cut-off...
but if button and cut-off are taken, i'm inclined to take the SB.
afterall, i get the button on the next hand...whereas UTG+1 will be paying the BB in just 2 hands.
initially one's instincts would say that you don't want to 'voluntarily' take one of the blinds-seats for the first hand. but i really think the SB seat is better than UTG+1 (and obviously is better than UTG and BB)
minimal EV like i said....but i'm curious if anyone has any opinions (other than 'why are you wasting valuable brain-power on such trivial matters?')
