I would hope so. I see cars constantly moving on the tracks.

How can this thing not be running 24 hours a day?

I thought Vegas never sleeps. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

That's one of those myths, just like the one about a President being too busy to frequent internet poker forums.

I hope they didn't buy this monorail from Lyle Landley. He's sold monorails to Brockway, Ogdenville, and North Haverbrook, and by God it put them on the map!

Isn't that an episode that was written by Conan O'Brien?

Yep, Marge vs. the Monorail. Just came out on DVD along with the rest of the 4th season.

Unless you are a convention go-er(and your company won't pick-up cab fare) or are staying downtown and want to get to the strip - I don't get the appeal of the new Monorail.

1. From the map on the website it seems that the train is behind the hotels on the East side of the strip - its a hike to any of the hotels on the other side.

2. Since this is a poker site, the train doesn't seem to help us - isn't all of the action on the other side of the strip? You wouldn't use the train to move from the Bellagio to Mandalay Bay - the walking to and from the train would take forever.

3. Why didn't they build it down the center of the strip? Or even better a subway underneath the strip?

Downtown, you can stay for $26 a night and blow of steam after a bad session with $0.25 roulette and a captive cocktail waitress (with the drinks, not the waitress.)

Don't knock it.

Amen, woulda saved me a bundle when i was in town for the WSOP. Cab rides from the Horseshoe downtown to Bellagio/Mirage on the stip killed my win rate

I assume that if you calculate cab costs into your win rate - then you also factor in food, hotel, airfare as well.

If you were staying downtown and going back and forth - why didn't you just rent a cheap car or cheaper yet take the bus!!!
