Kgrad:

The preflop raise is fine. Flop and turn are good too. I would bet the river.

I would bet the river there. You still have no reason to believe you're not best, and you can't give them credit for an ace just because one hit. Likely they're clinging to their Q9 or 88 or missed a flush. I'd be shocked if a river bet got raised or if you were shown down a better hand (though I wouldn't 3-bet if raised).

Just b/c you would have lost does not make betting the river incorrect.

oh of course not, just letting you know what happened

I think the raise is fine with only 1 limper, and the rest looks fine.

The only questionable raise is the one you didn't make on the river. Yeah- you sould have lost, but it's still the right play.

Hey kgrad,
The only thing I would do differently would be to bet the river.

I check the river just like you did.

I think a bet here in most micro games is a bet lost.

Ugh. NO.

Assuming that all micro players are waiting around with Aces hoping they hit on the river is wrong. You will miss more bets than you lose if you check the river every time a scare card comes up.

i usually dont check the river, just had a gut feeling when that ace showed with 2 chasers that i was beat..

So everyone would bet this flop? I understand, 2 overcards, and a backdoor flush draw...I would call if bet, but I don't think I would bet out..Is this too weak/passive?

There's nothing wrong with taking the free card on the flop, but I'd usually bet this because:

- You might win the pot right there (only 2 opponents)
- You're in position (possible free card opportunity)
- If they raise, you can safely fold

I don't think the pf raise is that questionable here. From MP2 with only 1 limper I raise this every time.

I agree with the others to bet the river. I may feel differently if there were many opponents still in. The reason I like the river bet here is that I think you are still ahead here close to half of the time, you are likely to be called by many worse hands, and a check/raise is very unlikely given the aggression you have shown. I don't think you checking behind here is a huge mistake and it is a fairly close decision. But I do think you are missing out on a little value by not betting in this situation.
