Is the 5/10 game at Borgata just as soft as 2/4 or 3/6? I have only been there once, I didn't do well at 3/6..lost around 30BB....bad beats though, but I tore up a 2/4 table for 9 hours the next day.

I am going down in a couple of weeks so I was just curious if I should expect the same level of skill at 5/10...i thought i would at least give it a shot for 30BB.

Anyone play at all 3 levels?

I dont' think they spread a 5/10. They spread a 6/12 and it can be a very lively game.

Peace,

6/12 beautiful tables...damn frustrating when you get cold decked. Texture varies from lots of passive multi-way weak-tight action with an occassional raiser or two here and there (hopefully you are one of them) to uber LAGs who just like to raise and people like to call anyway...good good good.

Hopefully will make it out there Friday afternoon, barring ridiculous traffic. Already preparing my sacrifices to the poker gods...

I hear ya...got cold decked my last 3 times down there. Heading to FW for the first time this weekend. Both should be pretty silly due to the holiday weekend.

I may sit 10/20 up there for the first time...I'm just about at the 300BB level for that game...we'll see how they look...and what my bro wants to sit. He's been playing far longer than I have, should be fun if we can sit together...see how he plays! /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Good luck at the Borg, get there early!

How much BR do you guys bring down to a trip when u wanna play 6/12 for a couple of days? Stick to the 30BB rule per session?

Definitely should be wild. Best of luck at FW, never been, would like to at some point. I'm sure you'll do well regardless of limit, great to have the experience along as well!

I'm in hopes that I'll get there by 2, though unsure if it will be packed by then.

Nah you'll be fine on Friday by 2...people getting ready for the tourney...I'm sure they'll run it despite the holiday weekend.

We'll have to hookup again next time you come down. I've been playing almost exclusively online, but always willing to take a trip down to AC! /images/graemlins/wink.gif

The games were super nice there two weekends ago. I was watching a 20/40, I believe, and people were raising PF with K9o...going crazy when a K flopped...it was funny. Wish I had the BR to sit!

I sat 6/12 and it was 5-8 to every flop, multiple bets...big pots...cold cards (hax!!). Hehe, better days ahead! /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Good luck, tear em up...watch the NL table rumble...quite amusing! /images/graemlins/smile.gif

For one session at 6/12, I'll have $300 in chips with an extra $100 handy. If spending a several days, probably would limit myself to 2-3x that amount.

Absolutely, I should have a couple chances in late July.

Several times I played 10/20, the 20/40 next to it had ridiculous action. Shortly after the Borgata opened, I took a shot at the 20/40 (when I was single and could throw money away). I was too impatient to wait for the 10/20, so I sat at a just opened 20/40 with $800. Initially I was up a grand, lost it all, was all-in at one point and won, and finally left +$500 or so. All in a space of 3 hours...so much fun I wanted to puke. Even in the "early" days the action was pretty wild. So yeah, here's to hoping the game is still that good once your bankroll gets there.

You too and will do...I'm sure FW will be no different (with the exception of a deck hitting you into next week)!

50BB should be good for that number of hours
