Is there any reason not to raise the river with a full house when you know your oppenent is beat?
Friday night I watched a hand between one good and one bad player. The bad one looked like he'd been running terribly but finally caught a hand. Bets out and is called by the good player on every street, who catches a full house on the river but only calls the bad player's bet.
Is there any good reason to do this? The only one I can think of is that he didn't want the guy to leave, and if he skinned him on that hand (the loser flopped trips w/ a nut flush draw) the guy probably would have left. The winner appeared to be socially sharp when it came to making people happy to lose to him.
