I clicked on a link from 2+2 banner (Your ad, not mine). It led here:
http://www.pokersourceonline.com/promotion/aztec_poker.asp

Has anyone played there? I have to play 0.50/1.00 or up. How's the game? I'd have to play 150 raked hands. Does anyone have these chips or have an opinion on how good these chips are? I have the crappy 100 red, white & blue chip set for like $2.99, and I'd like to get a nice poker chip set.

From another forum, which pokerso (the guy who runs pokersourceonline) posts on. This is from him:

I'm positive that on Aztec you have to contribute money to the pot in order to get credit for a raked hand. They only way you can fold before the flop and still get credit is if A) you are in the big blind B) you called, the pot got raised and then you fold.

From someone else:

It's also even 'fishier' than party in my opinion.

Also, Aztec Poker has some super-paranoid policy that makes you verify your identity when making a withdrawal.

You think the players at Party are bad? Wait till you see Aztec!

The chips look like they're the 11.5g chips you can find pretty much anywhere.

The chipset is decent, and PSO is a quality operation (not affiliated with them in any way)... However, Aztec Poker blows. You'll be waiting at least two weeks to get your cashout back to Neteller (when you cashout, they don't even tell you that they need you to fax them info until a week later), while they have no problem funding your account in 30 seconds without any sort of verification.

You should also know that the software is poor and the games are very very weak-tight.

All-in-all I think the deal is pretty good, but expect to have to deal with some aggrevating delays.

I agree with this completely. PSO is a top quality operation (and no, I'm not affiliated with them - I'm just a customer). But Aztec is horrible. I'm still waiting (one week later) to hear whether they're going to actually give me my money or not. I'm sure, any week now, I'll get a reply e-mail telling me I need to fax a copy of my credit card, utility bill, DNA sample, etc. to their headquarters somewhere in Zimbabwe, where their crack team of financial specialists will lose all of my records as soon as possible and send my money to me about 3 days after the sun super-novas.

But I did recieve my chips yesterday from PSO, and I am VERY pleased. PSO is a first class operation. I hope they expand their association to other, more reputable sites than Aztec. This whole experience has confirmed by loathing for Prima, but the PSO experience couldn't have been better.

The rake requirements were raised from 150 to 250 hands as of the 1st.

I cleared 150 fairly easy playing $1-$2. The games were fairly soft imo.

Got my chips from PSO right away.

Have not tried to cash out yet but it is supposedly easier to do if you use neteller.
