Cap the turn. he already CC two bets, give him the chance to call another 2.

I put the BB on QJ or AJ and thought if I didn't cap I could maybe get more action on the river. That's why I didn't cap the turn. Do you think he would have still 3 bet me on river if I didn't cap?

I dunno /images/graemlins/confused.gif

Look at it this way, by capping the turn you are basically assuring yourself of 2BB's from the blind and another likely BB from the button (I will assume he is drawing)

By calling, you are hoping that he not only bets into you (likely) but also 3 bets you(not so likely).

You gambled and it paid off, but that doesnt mean it was the best way to play it.

Nice takedown BTW /images/graemlins/smile.gif

True, I usually think along the same lines and play the same as you stated. I just felt that on the flop and turn action he very much liked his hand. Thanks as always.

I like it. I play same.

Last night in a home game I played jacks full (flopped full house) similarly - smooth calling bets/raises on the flop. Chick with AA who capped it on the flop spiked an A on the turn and smoked me.

Sorry, bad beat snuck in. Good play here.
