What are thoughts on flop raise? Was looking for free card if turn blanked.

Because of the possible flush draw on the board, not sure I like the flop raise, since you don't actually have anything yet. The turn and river raises I like.

I make this raise about half the time. It is really dependant on my image at the table. If every time I raise, I'm showing the goods, then I raise. If I've been missing alot, then I'm more prone to call here (although I hate calling here /images/graemlins/wink.gif ). I'm not sure if my thinking is correct, so I hope some more experienced and knowledgable posters will chime in.

This is a situation I've been thinking about lately. I usually make this raise, but it's very position dependant.

If the bettor is to my right, I'll raise and try to knock as many people out as possible, therefore increasing my chances of winning a big pot and getting a free card on the turn - or being able to win the pot with a turn bet if I whiff (that's opponent dependant).

But if I'm in late position, there's been an EP bet and a few callers, I think your chances of getting a free card are a lot slimmer and your raise won't knock any of those callers out. So I'm thinking that maybe in your situation a flop call is the best play here. But I'd like to see more opinions on this hand.
