Well, I can't win, still losing a lot. Could I have saved some in these hands? Or is it ok the way I played? Here some hands from my last session.

Hand 1, when I've raised him every single time and he fires again on the river, I just call.

Hand 2, when he checkraises there I expect to chop, but I've seen 89 or two pair do that more times than a flopped flush, so I probably 3-bet as well. Against some opponents, I'll just call the checkraise.

Hand 3, I play it pretty much like you did.

hand 1: just call the river bet. he played quite strangely here, probably had A2.

hand 2: just call the river raise. not much you can beat here IMO. looks like a slow played flush, but possible chop. you won't see trips or 2 pair do this very often at all.

hand 3: not much you could have done differently here without being too weak.

cheers!

hey Guido, how about trying to beat the $1-$2 6 Max first before trying to beat the $10-$20 or the $5-$10?

That would be a great start imo, instead of learning 6 Max at the $10-$20. That would be my suggestion. then once you are more comfortable then you can move up.

Thanks for the advice. It's true that I'm not completely comfortable. I had some concerns about my preflop play but it seems that is fine. I don't think my problem is that I'm not aggressive enough (in general), I think that I'm sometimes too aggressive. I don't think I'm playing bad, yesterday I lost about 55BB. I don't think that's much when you consider losing with AA to runner runner flush for KK, losing with 88 against 77 on a rivered 7, losing with top pair against a rivered gutshot ect ect. I'm not complaining about that, it's part of the game but I don't want to be spilling chips...

The first of march I started playing at 0.5/1 in full ring games and worked my way up. I was playing 3/6 and 5/10 most of the time the last 2 months. I do have a bankroll for 5/10 and I don't mind losing some while I'm learning/starting 6-max. When I'm clearly playing terrible or my bankroll decreases too much I will go back to 3/6 full or maybe 1/2 6-max. For now I will stay at 5/10 6-max. And no I didn't start playing for the first time in march /images/graemlins/grin.gif.

Thanks,

Guido
