I'm planning on getting a multitabling monitor soon, namely the Dell 2001FP. I was wondering 2 things: Is there any place that will give me cash or trade-in value for my current monitor which is a 17'' Dell, flat panel (not sure of the exact model)? Also, where is the best bargain for said monitor? Thanks in advance.

best cash option: ebay. best vendor: dell. just monitor www.techbargains.com (http://www.techbargains.com) and wait for the small business division to drop the price to 750-800. if you BUY it on ebay you're giving up a lot of protections in terms of returns.

Anyone run a two-monitor system? I'd like to get two 2001fp's and do that, but I suspect I'd need a graphics card smart enough to handle it?

My wife hates the two honker 21" CRTs (two machines - 1. my gaming system, 2. her email/our web server) and printer on a 8' work table being in the living room, and I can't say I blame her. I can envision going down to one machine with a more sleek furniture setup and two flat panels getting me some nookie.

Just install two cheap graphics cards and hook one monitor up to each of them.

I'm going to be getting a second 2001fp as soon as they go on sale again. I'm currently using a 9800 pro with a 19" crt as the second monitor and it's just not cutting it...I'll get back to you when it's set up.

Any of the nvidia or ati cards not more than a year old will let you connect 2 monitors - look for a card with a dvi connector. The dvi goes to your primary monitor and the db15 cable goes to the other one. The driver will let you connect the two monitors to form one large desktop.
