Background: There is not one solid player at this table, everyone is an idiot. Got lucky freerolling in the big blind and I want to know if it would have been better to try a check-raise on the flop to drive out this freak who felt compelled to call with his runner-runner straight draw w/ a pair on board...

PokerStars 0.50/1.00 Hold'em (6 handed)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 6/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 5/images/graemlins/club.gif.
UTG calls, MP calls, CO folds, Button folds, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (4 SB) 5/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 5/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 6/images/graemlins/spade.gif (4 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, UTG calls, MP calls, SB folds.

Turn: (3.50 BB) T/images/graemlins/heart.gif (3 players)
Hero bets, UTG calls, MP calls.

River: (6.50 BB) T/images/graemlins/spade.gif (3 players)
Hero bets, UTG folds, MP raises, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 10.50 BB

Results in white below:
Hero shows 6h 5c (full house, fives full of tens).
MP shows Td 7c (full house, tens full of fives).
Outcome: MP wins 10.50 BB.

Totally depends on how aggressive the other players are. If nobody bets, then they get a free card against your boat. And given that MP didn't hit anything on the flop, he would've checked. You don't know what UTG had--he might've bet.

You played it fine. Nothing you can do about it. You're a 180 to 1 favorite on the flop. It's important to remember, however, that YOU DON'T WANT HIM TO FOLD on the flop or turn.

You have a fullhouse. Why would you want a runner runner straight draw to fold?

You made sklansky bucks. Don't worry about it.

You goal should not be to win pots. It should be to win money... or... as it were... Sklansky bucks.

Not to nitpick, but I prefer the grammatically correct:

You make sklansky buck!

Now I'm picturing our bearded overseer humping the table. Picturing and giggling.
