Won my 1st NL tourney after 10-15 tries!

Home game w/ 6 players, $5 buy in for $30 in chips; 1st place $25, 2nd gets a refund.

I'm a consistent winner in our limit game (.50/1) - glad to see some sign of improvement in my NL game /images/graemlins/smile.gif

What kind of blind structure do you guys use with only $30 in chips? I suppose any number of chips is workable if you think it through, but it seems like that's an awfully small stack!

Very small indeed, but we usually just play a quick tourney before sitting down to our regular limit game, so it's supposed to go fast (we only get together for 4.5 hrs on Wednesday nights). We start with the blinds at 1/2, then move up to 2/4; 2/6; 4/8; 8/16 every 15 mins. to keep it moving.

I think we'll be trying to get together on a Saturaday afternoon to play w/ higher stacks soon. Every few months we get a big group together for a proper tournament (25 strong - $30 buy in).
