How Many WSOP did Stu Ungar win?

I always thought and was told it was 2 (back to back years) but then i read he won 3 and i thought i also read somewhere it was 1997. So how many was it? i mean i read an exact sentence that said he won 3 WSOP at Binions casino. Am i missing something or does someone totally have their facts wrong.

Yes, you are right on all points. He won 3 total, two of them were back to back.

I heard it was only three, but I don't believe that. I read it on this forum in the WPT, etc . . . I think.

alright thank you. now i have to find video on/about/with him playing poker. i am really pissed i just got really into poker after he died and everything. i really want to see him play. did he play totally different than anyone (does that even make sense?) i have no idea but he seems different than any other player of any time period.
