I think I would play it the same way, but the preflop call is marginal with only 2 limpers. I would either fold and wait for more players to limp with this on a later hand, or raise it on the button preflop.

Then again, I could be too tight in this position.

pre-flop limp is a no-brainer, and I think the flop call is one of those loose calls you're supposed to make because the flop is so cheap. All you need is a spade, a 9 or a K and you continue the hand and face another +EV situation.

Preflop is fine if the SB is a loosey. Routine afterward.

one of my friends that I was going to go with started work and he's up at 4:30 every morning. I'll try to get there by myself when I can. I want to actually play against you next time.

With such a raggy flop I think I might raise and probably take the free card on the turn.

Given the description of the table and the players, I think you played it fine.

Peace,
Joe Tall

With 2 early position limpers, I fold this preflop.

then you're too tight.

With 2 early position limpers, I fold this preflop

Why?

are you using UBet for the bonuses? how many hands do you have to play, and how many tables at a time? I can't win at poker so I'm going to make this a whoring week.

YEs I'm on UB b/c I'm clearing like $250 in bonuses. I don't seem to win at poker either, but I am making a lot in whoring. Autoplay Blackjack RULES!!!!

As far how much you need to play, I don't keep very good track of that stuff, but I'd estimate...a dollar an orbit at 3/6 and up, so 150 orbits. 1500 hands, 25 table hours?

Am I way off?

I looked into these bonus's but after doing the Pokerstars one UB seems insane. Way too long. Stars took me much too long, but maybe I shouldn't have cleared it at 2/4. I think my EV was higher at 5/10 party.

In marked contrast to Pokerstars, I enjoy playing on UB. I find that the stars bonus takes me much longer to clear because its much harder to find playable tables.

And if you just chose the first table you found and didn't worry about table selection what would the time comparison be between stars and UB?

I didn't worry about game selection and was playing 4 tables at once.

Don't know. But often Stars won't even have 4 games at a given limit. They'll have like 2 and the % seeing the flop will be 17 and 23 /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Well, you've convinced me that it might be worth downloading the software anyways. Yah, stars limit games were the prime suck.

I played NL on the weakend for fun though. I almost never play it so sat at the 0.25/0.50 $50 max buy-in. Those guys suck. Everyone is weak tight or horrible. I consider myself very bad at NL and also found myself dominating the tables.

Can someone explain to me the value of limping here? stheif, you seem particularly adamant about limping so I'd like to hear your case.
