Just saw your posts on the other topics Forum. I can't post there because it requires a password. My password was presumably sent to my home e-mail address except now my home computer ain't working so I still don't know what my password is...doh

To Dunc,

Great meeting ya (and Stewie). Couple of things about the Palace Casino:

1. They sure treat their players well. I mean, the players call the shots. If they want to change the limits, the game, have over buttons whatever...they are accomodated. At the Holiday Inn Vancouver, it's as if we are doing them a favour by coming out and playing. Management says "no Omaha"...no Omaha it is. They say nothing higher than 10-20, well that's the way it is...never mind that they have about 30 guys in the room at the particular time who wouldn't mind jacking up the limits. In fact, we now usually agree amongst ourselves to always have a live straddle in order to make it into a bigger game...go figure.

2. The negative side: The dealers in Edmonton have no control of the table. Guys are continually folding out of turn, showing cards to their buddy next to them etc. No shortage of cussing at the tables either that always goes unreprimanded.

The night I saw you, the 10-20 game was about as soft as the Vancouver games but perhaps that was an aberration. I played about 3 hours the next night in an absolute rock garden. 9 of us had 15-30 over buttons and yet the pot rarely got over $120...man...what a yawner.

Anyway, I'll E-mail you the next time I'm in town (probably at X-mas) and we'll do that MGD thing again..this time I buy.

ciao

To David:

I thought you were coming here this weekend...oh well...maybe we'll hook up next time.

I assume you crushed 'em at the HI...what a game, eh? No better 10-20 game anywhere in the world.

Catch ya next time.
