Well even though I don't play on Stars I definitely will be playing in the WCOOP final as well as maybe one or two more events.

I just want to know your thoughts on the events and I was really interested on how many people you think will play in the final event.(Will it be more than 7500?)

More than 7500? I think you are way off there. I would be really surprised if it exceeded 2000, and fully expect it to be less than 1500, probably closer to 1000. There just aren't enough people willing to pay $2500 for an online tournament, even with all the satellites that are run.

Plus, many players that play on other sites do not even know about the WCOOP.

Really? I would of thought that everyone who plays online must know about pokerstars and the moneymaker (and now fossil) stories. I would think that it would be at least 5000 but maybe you are right.

$2500 entry is prohibitive for 99% of online players so they'll need to qualify, there just isn't going to be that many. I would guess under 1000.

how many people know a player from pokerstars won the WSOP of poker this year, i'd say not a whole lot of new people, and not a whole lot of people who will actually care and then sign up to the WCOOP.

besides, party poker could say they are running a $2,500 buy in tourney next saturday (as opposed to what is it 40 days for the stars $2,500) and get 2,000 people, this poker stars stuff is only big because party doesn't do it.
