Can anyone explain to me the house advantage of carribean stud where it costs one dollar to play. After that there is an ante, and then if you like your hand you must double your ante to keep playing the hand. If the house doesn't have AK high or better the house pays off the ante 1-1, but doesn't pay off the secondary bet. I played for the first time this week and played as I would if in a heads-up game and came out a significant winner. Was I just lucky or is this possibly a game that can be beat?

You got lucky. The house edge is around 5% with this game.

hahaha, sorry about laughing, but let me explain. I'll respond to this by first telling you that I'm an avid Carribean Stud player at the casino (lol, not really, I just enjoy losing money at the game). seriously, every time I go to a casino I end up playing CS. let me tell you from great experience that this is a game which cannot be beat. I have sat down and won hundreds and sat down and lost hundreds. the previous post is correct on the odds and it seems to ring even more true after the countless times I've spent playing the game. the house will take more away from you over the long haul then you will take from them. the odds dictate this and because of their structured betting this cannot be escaped. please only play this game for fun and to win the royal flush progressive.... if you don't, I can almost gaurantee you a miserable time within the future.
