Man, two big hands take me down to under 400.

Not sure of exactly which one you are talkng about...

First hand. I get 7-8s on button. One limper. I limp. Both blinds call/check. Flop comes 2-7-K with 2 spades. I'm pretty happy with middle pair and flush draw, but I decide to check if everyone else does. Limper bets 400(pot), I call(bad move?). Turn brings rag, he bets big, I fold...down to 1300 here. Maybe I was a little on tilt after losing with A-K vs A-10.

Second hand: get A-K utg. Blinds are still at 50/100. I raise to 300(too small?). LP guys calls, blinds fold. Flop brings rags(something like 8-10-J rainbow, but I"m not sure. I bet 400, he re raises all in, I fold.

Then blinds pass me by and I'm under 400 chips.

got a little lucky tripling up with 3-3 after I went all in from EP. Then made a nice gain a few hands later in a 3-way pot.

I think raising to 300 was fine in this situation pre flop. I didn't like the 400 bet on the flop (which was about 1/2 ur stack) I think all in or check may have been the right play here.

Also, be careful going all in in the sb for 1700 chips /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I see what you're saying...Basically, I was thinking that 400 was enough to make him fold if he had a hand like A-Q but also left me enough chips to make an impact if he raised and I had to fold. I'll consider your view, though, in the future.

I'm out in 217th place. Went all in from SB with pocket 4s(blinds were getting high and significant)...called by A-5 /images/graemlins/confused.gif by a medium stack who risked almost all his chips. Oh well.

while i definately did not like the call with A-5, i think the fact that u did it to him 2 orbits prior may have convinced him that you were stealing and that he would call u in the future with any ace. That atleast is my rational for his call as he seemed like a very tight player.

I'm not sure if u noticed the hand after u left (or 2 hands later) u would have been dealt pocket 10's and would have lost to pocket jj and pocket kk..........
