How's this push after the flop reraise. Had him on KJ or AJ. Nothing else makes sense, I just had to assume he didn't have 54 since he called the PF raise.

Isn't that why we raise preflop in the first place? IMO you lose to three hands here, AA, KK, and JJ. AA/KK probably reraise you preflop, so really you only have a chance at losing to JJ on this board barring no suckout, and maybe 55/44 depending on the player; that's why I would raise more preflop with such low blinds (like 5xBB). With small blinds, your concern is lowering implied odds more than pot odds, so I would raise more. Anyway, IMO Good allin.

I would be much more likely to call from the blinds with 54ss than I ever would to call with AJ or KJ. Calling a raise that small is only about 3-5% of my stack depending on position. If I were feeling frisky, I would take the chance.

I never would call with KJ or AJ because you just cant bet with any confidence if you hit, but it is hard to get away from also. You made a good call though.

But I like to make larger bets this early too. Probably 75-100. You will still get some oddball calls from the Gus Hansen and Daniel Negreanu wanna-be's.

I once re-raised from 35 to 135 with AA and got called in four places. On guy hit triple sevens, and the another rivered a straight to A-9.
