I was wondering what kind of bobber you use, Ray. Also note that lead may soon be banned (may already be banned in Canada) so the ceramic weights may boom. Buy some stock now in the appropriate companies.

Last weekend on a small steram, I made a wonderfully perfect cast just behind a boulder where I knew a trout was lurking - water was a bit swift and as the fly drifed down a 12-inch Brown shot out of water like a cannon ball, skidded across the backside of the boulder, and flopped back into water, missing the fly completely. Funny to watch.

lead has been banned from federal preserves for hunting and most national parks for fishing. so soon it will be gone and good too. poisions ducks and birds and things that eat them for those wondering.

sounds like you are doing more fishing than me. watch out for cannonballs though.
