Ugh! I just tried wrote my first post ever and it somehow got lost.
Anyway - hello all, I've been a long time lurker here and after my worst poker day ever and a bunch of other bad sessions recently, I've decided to start posting and try to elevate my game. I consider myself a decent player - many of you who have played with me may disagree. I'm open to all criticisms.
Here are a few hands I'd appreciate some feeeback on:
Hand 1
Is betting the river here a better play?
Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (6 max, 4 handed)
Preflop: Hero is BB with 9/images/graemlins/spade.gif, Q/images/graemlins/spade.gif.
UTG calls, Button folds, SB completes, Hero checks.
Flop: (3 SB) K/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 5/images/graemlins/spade.gif, T/images/graemlins/spade.gif (3 players)
SB bets, Hero calls, UTG calls.
Turn: (3 BB) 8/images/graemlins/spade.gif (3 players)
SB bets, Hero raises, UTG calls, SB folds.
River: (8 BB) 6/images/graemlins/spade.gif (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets, Hero calls.
Final Pot: 10 BB
Main Pot: 10 BB, between Hero and UTG. > Pot won by UTG (10 BB).
Results in white below:
Hero shows 9s Qs (flush, queen high).
UTG shows 8h As (flush, ace high).
Outcome: UTG wins 10 BB.
Hand 2
Opponent here is the worst - once he gets his stack up a bit he starts to play extremely loose and mindlessly aggressively. I know I should have probably reraised him preflop, but do I push him postflop with low pair or do I let him do the betting?
Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed)
Preflop: Hero is BB with A/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 5/images/graemlins/club.gif.
UTG folds, MP folds, CO folds, Button raises, SB folds, Hero calls.
Flop: (4.40 SB) 5/images/graemlins/spade.gif, K/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, Q/images/graemlins/heart.gif (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets, Hero calls.
Turn: (3.20 BB) J/images/graemlins/heart.gif (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets, Hero calls.
River: (5.20 BB) J/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (2 players)
Hero checks, Button checks.
Final Pot: 5.20 BB
Main Pot: 5.20 BB, between Hero and Button. > Pot won by Hero (5.20 BB).
Results in white below:
Hero shows Ah 5c (two pair, jacks and fives).
Button shows 6d 3d (one pair, jacks).
Outcome: Hero wins 5.20 BB.
Hand 3
Can't find the HH for this one but its something like this:
(no suits)
I raise UTG with AKo, all fold to the BB who calls.
Flop is something like T62. Check - bet - call.
Turn is a 4. BB bets out and I fold.
Is this a bad fold? He showed AQ.
Thanks!
