in a 15/30 game just a day ago im in the Bb with JJ the action has 3 players in and I called,,

the flop is J A 10, I bet out its called to last to act that raises we all called,, turn is a 3, checked to button that FLIPS his pocket pr of 33's over and sais bet ,, with 3 players still in front of him to fold raise ! was his play legal ? I checked raised and all folded back to him wich then he sais " ya got me beat ?" he called and the river was a 10 and I took down a nice pot,, was his attempt common, ?

what a guy, draws to a 2-outer then kills his own action when its good...

Legal? Yes.


Common? No.


Encouraged? Definitely.

Pretty stupid on his part. And yes it is legal, not common at all though. Since most poeple are not that stupid.

Thanks Pokerguy and Tommy, for your ruleing, I could see this tactic being used when and only when you have what is concidered the nuts say flopped a straight or top set in multy way pot too discourage your oponents from drawing out to say a 2 card flush or what not ,, would in this case I stated above be concidered a good play or bad judgement ?
