You see this foolishness all the time in the early stages of sngs. The fool got lucky. Nothing to do or worry about.

The only mistake I see here is that you went allin on the first hand of an SnG; no matter how good my hand is, it always seems to get cracked. For example the last time I did it, I had AA in UTG+1, made a small raise, got reraised, I pushed, he called with TT. Turn was a T and out I go...

Anyway, ignore the above paragraph. You made the right play, IMO.

Fact of the matter is that the way people play at level 1 is probably the most significant component of your +EV at these tournaments. You have to be willing to gamble it up with these clowns, even though you might lose. There is an infinite supply of future tournaments to enter so survival should not be a consideration.

Imagine you enter 3 tournaments, and each time you're a 2-1 favorite to double up on the first hand. You're still alive in 2 tournaments with 2x your starting chips, and you've paid 3 entry fees. So basically you are paying 1.5x the entry fee to start with 2x the amount of chips. I assume this is a deal everyone is willing to take.
