View Full Version : How would you play this hand?

20-40. This hand has been bothering for the last couple of days. Cut-off open raises, button reraises, small blind folds, I reraise out of the big blind with AK. Both the CO and button have consistently been trying to steal very weak for as long as I have been at the table and are loose-aggressive post-flop. My reraise gets the CO to fold, button calls.

Flop Jd 7s 5h

I bet, button raises, I call.

Turn Jc

I check-raise, he calls. Is this a bad time for a move?

River 10c

What's my play and did I butcher the hand long before the river?

In my opinion, you are good through the flop. The check-raise depends on how often you make this kind of move and how observant your opponent is. You're making a move on roughly $250 with an $80 bet; 3-1 - not *that* bad.

Finally, you check and call.

i think the time for the checkraise is on the flop.

the checkraise on the turn really looks like a move and is likely to get called down by all sorts of hands.
