I stole this idea i admit it. I suck at these SNG's i am sure i have a negative ROI and a low ITM, but no accurate numbers because i had trouble getting PT to import my stats for a while. I figure posting an average SNG would help me figure out my problems. I make it to the final four frequently... but i tend to bubble more than what seems like my fair share.

I hope this format is best, it's poker stars so i can't use the hand replayer if there's a better/more convenient way let me know. I'm just gonna use Bison bison's converter and post the hands i have. Also i decided to post this before i began to play so there's nothing special about this SNG. Also remember whoever is in BOLD in the chip count saw the flop. Anybody in red went to showdown... no red = no showdown.

Honestly, there are only two hands I don't like here. The first is where you try to steal the blinds with KTo... the blinds are too small at this point to be worth stealing IMO, especially with as many players as there are in the hand. While I'm at it, I'm going to mention a third hand... why did you limp with K6s? (This is earlier)

Anyway, the other hand I don't like is the one you actually went out on. This hand is marginal at best, even four handed - and clearly the guy you're up against likes his hand. I think you pushed this semibluff too hard - maybe it makes sense if you know he's on Kings, but he could easily have an ace here and isn't going to fold for anything. It's not like this guy had been stealing too many blinds, if anyone was doing that it was you (which is fine) - but that makes it all the more likely that when you do try to bluff the guy you are against will think you are being aggressive and call. Since this guy WASN'T stealing, this minraise looks awfully fishy here. I probably would have called here, or maybe mucked; if the SB hadn't called I definitely call, but since the SB likes his hand too, I'm not sure if you want to get another hundred chips when you're out of position against the preflop raiser. Given that you did see the flop, I would probably check here - with any luck you'll get to see a free card to see if you hit your OESD, or if you believe he doesn't have the ace he'll probably lay down to an allin check-raise. Did you have any reads on the guy yet?

I spotted this too. On the next hand you FOLD A9o, despite that being a FAR greater hand than K6s. 9-handed in MP i make both an easy fold (although if the table is uber tight-passive you can raise the A9o).

Nice and aggressive 4-way; although i sweat when raising PF with 52o. I suppose it works in that you won't vomit if reraised.

As for the hand you were KO'd on, yes, it was bad. Nice PF raise, i guess you see the flop after a raise BUT no pushing with an OESD. I think you can safely wait a few more hands for something with more chance of completion.

Try just posting the hands you were involved with, or at least making a huge highlight of your bets.

You do a lot of all-in raising, which i don't like. It may be correct at lower limits with bad players if they'll pay you off enough, but you'll get crushed with that if you move up. Why all in with AKs early? It's worth more than the blinds. The KQ offsuit semibluff was also trouble. You were risking your whole stack ~1500 for what 150 in chips or something. Unless that works 10 times for every 1 it doesn't you are costing yourself $.

The last hand your raise was not big preflop -- they would call that for sure and you cannot be favorite, on flop you just have the draw they must have better hand. So betting is only good if they fold at least 25% of time to your bet. that doesn't seem likely here.

I have a bad habit of limping with Kx sooted. for some reason i love the flush. I threw away A9o because it's a lot harder for me to get rid of post flop if the A hits. Also i moved in with AKs because i don't really know how to play it too well after the flop if it doesn't hit, and even if it does hit then it's difficult for me to feel confident i'm ahead with anything less than 2 pair. There were several limpers, and i just wanted to get some money out insteaad of going bust on it =/

About the last hand. The guy was a quality player... maybe even a 2+2er. I KNEW he had a hand... and i just couldn't get away from it. The OESD was just too much for me to resist and i pushed. These types of hands are where i generally go out of tourneys. I get down really close/in the money and i'm being agressive buying pots/stealing blinds left and right. Anyway i get a decent but not great hand (whether pre-flop or on the flop) and i feel like i can just take the pot away right there. Turns out people are generally tired of me and call my push. If i can just discipline myself to only push with that premium hand in the end i suppose i'm more likely to get callers on it and double through.

Just because something is a semibluff (as opposed to a stone cold bluff), doesn't mean you want callers. What I've found you have to do is assess if the guy likes his hand enough to put all his chips on the line; I actually misread the guy, myself - I thought he had a strong ace - but most people are not going to lay down a strong ace is that situation. The fact that he called with kings shows that he had grown tired of your preflop aggression and was confident enough that you DIDN'T have an ace to call.

Aggression is not bad. Bluffing into a hand that your opponent likes is. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

You have a 7.2% chance of hitting your flush with suited cards. This assumes you get to see the whole board. (Someone check that math; I did it myself a few days ago, and I'm not sure if it's right /images/graemlins/smile.gif) Anyway. When you hit a flush, people tend to notice it, and will often fold if they don't have a strong one and you're being tight, so the implied odds on hitting that flush tend not to be that high (in my experience). Also, even if you DO hit your flush, the Ace will be out there enough times (and you will lose enough money as a result) for playing Kx to me -EV in the long run (also, again in my experience) - but only when playing many handed. Shorthanded lowers the odds of the ace being out there, so you don't have to worry about it as much. Actually that's probably a leak in my game; three handed with a big flush that loses to a bigger flush... but if that's a problem 3 handed then it's a much bigger problem 9 handed.
